Position: Graphics Design
Duties: Worked full time in a fast-paced design department. Responsible for creation of advertisements
and layouts as well as working with customers and sales teams to provide a high-quality product. Responsibilities also included obituary design, weekly back-ups and data storage as well as assembling special projects for the Circulation & Classifieds departments. Design work relied mainly upon QuarkXpress and Adobe Photoshop as well as some photography.

Lower Columbia College
Position: Photo Labratory Assitant
Duties: Working part time mixing chemicals for the photo lab as well as working with students and faculty as needed in the lab and lighting studio. Responsible for helping to develope film and photographs in the darkroom.

Infinity Internet Services
Position: Technical Support Agent
Duties: Configured dialup, DSL, and local area networks for customers via phone and email. Responsible for subscriber test and turn-on and managing IP tables used in RADIUS and IP-based authentication. Monitored network status for outages & routing conflicts. Routinely exceeded all efficiency goals and worked to reduce redundancies and cost-ineffective policies.

Staples Office Supply
Position: Computer Sales & Support Agent
Duties: Provided technical support and assistance to Staples customers and internal offices. Duties mainly included IBM/PC computer hardware and peripherals repair, service/maintenance, and installation of hardware upgrades/alterations for equipment sold under warranty or requiring service by certified vendors by terms of manufacturer warranties.

General Electric
Position: Assistant reclamations manager
Duties: Responsible for all equipment reclamations/redistributions and refurbishing of company desktop/laptop computers. This included keeping up to date inventory records and tracking databases to ensure that all company equipment was accounted for and to prevent employee theft or internal bookkeeping errors.

Punky Tech
Position: Consultant
Duties: Self-employed computer consultant working for numerous individuals and small businesses. Typical jobs included building custom-order computers, configuring TCP/IP and LAN for multiple computers sharing one or more internet connections (DSL, cable) or communicating via wireless network. A great deal of my technical knowledge and skills were tested and strengthened during this time. Working with a diverse cliental with different needs has enabled me to switch gears quickly to address sudden changes in the workflow and apply skills from several schools of technology to problems typically not addressable with conventional means.
